About My Project

My project attempts to make commentary on social media’s detrimental effects on romantic relationships in our culture today through an interactive dialogue between two distant lovers. 

I was inspired to remix Olia Lialina’s 1996 piece, “My Boyfriend Came Back from the War” after stumbling upon her collection of interpretations and adaptations by other artists within the Last Real Net Art Museum.
